🦊 42% done. Wild.

Morning, London! Happy Thursday. We’re 42% through 2025. Yep. New Year’s was 155 days ago, let that sink in! Between Easter, the May bank holidays and half term, it’s felt like one long citywide breather. Kids are back in school for the final stretch, and the weather’s been suspiciously amazing (it's pouring right now, but I know you lot all read this at different times).

Venues are reshuffling line-ups, getting set for the summer storm. But don’t be fooled, there’s still plenty on. Vintage buses are rolling in, the big polo family day is here, and both South Ken and Hammersmith are throwing street bashes. Battle of the West. Just London being London. And don’t forget, Tuesday 10th is Kids Week ticket day. Free West End seats for kids in July and August. Total parenting win.

Also, the Scoop’s in-house DJ has dropped a fresh London playlist. Toe-tappers, rom-com montage vibes, perfect for city strolls or kitchen dancing. Worth a save for when you’re feeling London-patriotic.

You’ll be safely harnessed, guided by pros, and raising money for charity. No experience needed. Just a sense of adventure and a stomach for heights. Full story

🐝 Olympic Park’s gone wild. Turns out Stratford isn’t just home to Westfield and confused tourists. A recent "bio-blitz" found dozens of new species thriving in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, including bees, birds, wasps and even lichen. Not bad for what used to be a toxic wasteland before the 2012 Games. Full story

. SOUNDTRACK .
London’s Greatest Hits

London has been name-dropped, sung about and romanticised in more songs than we can count. So we made a feel-good playlist packed with anthems, toe-tappers and rainy-day bops. Can we go head to head against NYC?
Let me know which ones I’ve missed.

. CASUAL EINSTEIN .
2 for 1: Wow your kid, and outsmart the other parents

Fun Fact: Some metals can remember their shape. They're called shape memory alloys: bend them, heat them, and they snap back like nothing happened. Metal with a grudge. 🧲

London Fact: The Walkie Talkie building once melted parts of a Jaguar parked on the street. It focused sunlight like a giant magnifying glass. Engineers had to install a sunshade. Oops. 🔍
