Afternoon, London! Happy Thursday. We know, we know, this is arriving closer to dinner than breakfast. In our defence, it's the week after Easter, the chocolate is still everywhere, and frankly we're surprised we made it at all. But we always deliver. Your trust is safe.
Congrats to George and Joanna, our two giveaway winners! Hope you and the little ones had a brilliant time at the dinosaur show. And a big thank you to everyone who entered.
Also, hope you enjoyed yesterday's 26 degrees. For London in April, that's basically the surface of the sun.
Right. Let's go. A shorter edition this week.

..LONDON SNIPPETS..
Bits that caught our eye
By the time we finished this edition, half the news was already yesterday's. The intern is sunburnt. We're calling it. Full snippets back next week

..BRAIN BITES..
Wow your kid, and outsmart the other parents

London Fact: Covent Garden was once a literal convent garden. 🎭 Back in the 1200s, it was a vegetable patch owned by the monks of Westminster Abbey, known as “the garden of the Abbey and Convent.” Henry VIII seized it during the dissolution of the monasteries, and it later passed to the Earl of Bedford, who built the piazza. The monks would not recognise it today.
Fun Fact: Penguins propose with pebbles. 🐧In some species, male penguins search for the smoothest pebble they can find and present it to a female. If she accepts, they use it to start building a nest together. Entirely serious. Entirely adorable.
