š¦ Londonās About to Turn Pink

Morning, London! Happy Thursday! Spring has officially sprung ā or at least softly tiptoed into town. Some sunshine and the collective confusion of Londoners remembering they own sunglasses. Have you noticed the cityās buildings are glowing like theyāve just had a Ā£2.99 turmeric and ginger shot?
April is sneaking up on us, which means London is about to do what it does best: turn every park, museum, and corner cafĆ© into a bunny-themed event space. And if you fancy escaping, Surrey, the Cotswolds, and Kent are bursting with countryside trails, lambs, and enough daffodils to trigger hay fever just by looking at them. Weāll have an Easter and half-term special next week with everything you need to know, see, and do during the school break. No pressure.
Also, donāt forget ā this Saturday those glorious vintage buses from the 1950s and 60s will be rolling down Route 19, from Finsbury Park to Battersea Bridge. š
And finally, The London Scoop wishes a wonderful Motherās Day to all our mum readers. Whether youāre getting breakfast in bed, a homemade card, or five minutes of peace with a coffee you didnāt have to reheat three times ā you deserve it all. š
Letās see what else weāve got for you today:
šļø London Snippets: Bits that caught our eye
š§ Casual Einstein: Two new playground-worthy facts
ā Trivia: Know your London?

Bits that caught our eye
š¦ A Fox Takes the Crown. A street-savvy fox has taken home the top prize at this yearās British Wildlife Photography Awards, beating out 13,000 entries with one perfectly timed urban pose. There were categories like Urban Wildlife and Hidden Britain, but we only had eyes for the foxāwho we can only assume is The London Scoopās distant cousin from Bristol. Full story

š² e-Bikes Booted Off the Tube. From 31 March, TfL is banning non-foldable e-bikes from the Tube, Overground, DLR and Elizabeth line. Why? A few too many dramatic battery fires ā including one at Rayners Lane that turned a train into a smoke machine. Only foldable e-bikes (the bendy acrobats of the cycling world) will still be allowed. e-Scooters and e-Unicycles remain firmly in the no-fun zone. Time to brush up on your folding skills ā or start pedalling like we used to. Full story
š® Petal Power: Best Cherry Blossom Spots in London. Cherry blossom season in London usually hits its stride in April ā but those pink petals can pop as early as March or hang on till May, depending on how grumpy springās feeling. A warm one brings early blooms; a cold snap keeps the trees snoozing. Hereās a handy guide to the best spots. Full story

.CASUAL EINSTEIN .
2 for 1: Wow your kid and outsmart the other parents
Here are two cool facts to help you sound like the smartest parent on the playgroundāor to fill those awkward silences with the other dads.
Fun Fact: You canāt hum while holding your nose. Go on, try it. Weāll wait. š¤ Turns out, humming requires air to pass through your noseāso when you block it, thereās nowhere for the sound to go. The result? An awkward, confused look and maybe a small identity crisis.
London Fact: The London Underground has its own species of mosquito. Deep in the tunnels of the Tube lives a sneaky little insect called the Culex pipiens molestus (yes, really). This mosquito evolved separately from its above-ground relatives and canāt even breed with them anymore. It thrives in warm, dark, subterranean spots, like platform 2 at 11:59pm when your train gets cancelled. š¦š
