🦊 London is pouring

Morning, London! Happy Thursday. Morning, London! Happy Thursday. On the road this week, so keeping it short and sweet. Also, the fox is a bit sensitive this week as someone reached out saying I sometimes type too much 😔.
Hope you’re staying dry out there. The sun looks set to make an appearance on Saturday, so hold tight.
Thanks for all the emails about the Halloween events you’ve been hitting. Still a few spooky days to go before the big night, so keep them coming. I’m living vicariously through your pumpkin chaos.
Let’s dive right in.

. LONDON SNIPPETS .
Bits that caught our eye

🚄 Eurostar Goes Double-Decker From 2031. Eurostar will start running high-speed double-decker trains through the Channel Tunnel for the first time. The new all-electric fleet, called Eurostar Celestia, will carry up to 1,000 passengers per train. More seats, same smug feeling as you zoom under the sea while someone else is stuck at Dover. 🏛️ Camden’s Old Town Hall Gets a Culture Makeover. Camden’s former town hall has officially reopened as Town Hall King’s Cross, a brand new arts and culture venue hosting everything from theatre to fashion and music. The neoclassical building has had a major glow up, with interiors by Tom Dixon and exhibition spaces big enough to get lost in. Expect art, arches and possibly a DJ next to a marble column. 🎢 Zipline Over the River Lea? Maybe Soon. A zipline from the ArcelorMittal Orbit in the Olympic Park is being proposed, promising to fling thrill-seekers across the River Lea from Newham into Tower Hamlets. If approved, it could draw 60,000 extra visitors a year and give Londoners a whole new way to scream while crossing borough boundaries Full story

. CASUAL EINSTEIN .
2 for 1: Wow your kid, and outsmart the other parents
Fun Fact: There’s a lighthouse near King’s Cross.🗼🚂 Perched on top of a building on Gray’s Inn Road, it was built in the 19th century; not to guide ships, but to advertise oysters.
London Fact: The average adult spends about six months of their life waiting at red lights. 🚦 That’s roughly 4,000 hours of sitting still and doing nothing. Unless you live in central London and take the Tube forever; in which case, congrats, you’ve unlocked extra time (?)
