Afternoon, London! Happy Thursday. Well... it’s a quiet one this week, a light edition as most people are travelling.

England’s World Cup dream came to an end against Argentina last night. A decent run, but Messi had other ideas. Still need a sporting distraction? The Open started today. Four days of people whispering near a hole.

After the last few weeks, everyone could probably use a breather. We’ve still found plenty to keep the kids busy.

Let’s go.

Bits that caught our eye

The intern is out travelling this week.

..SUMMER DANCE..

Summer Dance Programme (7-18yo)

From hip hop to contemporary - discover a different dance style every day!

This summer, The Place is hosting a week-long summer dance club, where participants will discover a fresh dance style with the support of a different guest artist every day.

Tailored to three different age groups (7-10, 11-14 and 15-18), dancers will learn routines, develop their skills, explore creative expression, all whilst having fun with new friends in a supportive and friendly environment!

On selected days, sessions will also feature live music, offering a unique opportunity to move and respond to music. At the end of the week, there will be a sharing where family and friends are invited to watch the dancers showcase what they’ve been creating.

Enrol for all five days or a limited number of drop-in spaces are available.

🗓️ Mon 27 - Fri 31 Jul, 10.30am to 3.30pm
📍 17 Duke's Road, WC1H 9PY

..BRAIN BITES..

Impress your kids. Outsmart the other parents.

London Fact: 🎭 London's West End has more theatre seats than New York's Broadway. Around 45,000 people can watch a show on any given night. That's a lot of interval ice creams.

Fun Fact: 🪶 For many birds, their feathers weigh more than their skeleton. Bird bones are incredibly light, and in some species the feathers weigh around twice as much. Doesn't sound very aerodynamic, does it?
