🦊 What's that yellow ball?

Morning, London! Happy Thursday! How are the kids you holding up? The skies have been suspiciously blue for several days now. We’re all too scared to talk about it in case it disappears. The Trafalgar Square pigeons are back strutting like they own the lease on Nelson’s Column, and in case you haven’t noticed, Paddington in Peru is now on Netflix. How is the kid who played Jonathan Brown suddenly 23 years old? How old am I then, 97? Turns out the first Paddington came out ten years ago… so yep, the maths checks out.
On a brighter note, I had a record number of emails from readers (yes, actual humans not related to me 😏) happily reporting back from the early Easter events I shared last week. London always goes beast mode in April.
And since we’re in this together, while you’re in helpful feedback mode, please scroll down and act as Chief of Content for a sec. I’m toying with a new Scoop section and I’d love your vote on it. We’re building this thing together, after all.
Oh, and last week’s trivia photo — the spooky tunnel? That was indeed the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, with 66% of you getting it right. It does look like a horror film set, but it’s also a fun one to tick off with the kids. Go have a wander.
Let’s see what else we’ve got for you today:

.TINY MONEY .
Readers vote: new section?
Thinking of adding a new section: Tiny Money - quick, playful tips for you to help your kids (of all ages) get a clue about cash. Nothing heavy, just fun ideas, simple games, or little conversation starters about things like saving, spending, and why the tooth fairy doesn’t do contactless. I’ve got a few ideas brewing, but before I go there, I want your vote. Shall we give it a go?
Do we want this little money section for kids (and you)? |

. LONDON SNIPPETS .
Bits that caught our eye
🎢 Universal Studios… in Bedfordshire? Yup, by 2031. Hollywood is coming (sort of) to Bedford, just 45 minutes outside London. A brand-new Universal theme park, the first of its kind in Europe, is set to open with a 500-room hotel and rides based on top film franchises (think dinosaurs, wizards, and probably something Minion-related). Now please, for the love of all things child-friendly, build it fast before our kids turn into moody teenagers who think theme parks are cringe.. Full story

🚆 Liverpool Street: The Makeover Continues. Network Rail and the folks behind The Shard are back with revised plans to redevelop Liverpool Street Station, after the original £1.5bn version got over 2,000 complaints and a collective “no thanks” from Westminster and Historic England. The new version includes a slightly smaller tower, redesigned entrances, and some benches near the Kindertransport statue. Still very much a drama magnet. Sneak peek below. Full story

🎮 Astro Bot takes over London. The BAFTA Games Awards took place in London this week and Astro Bot absolutely cleaned up, winning five awards including Best Game. If your kid’s a gamer, casually drop that into conversation and watch their eyes widen. Bonus points if you pretend you knew this before they did. 🎮🏆Full story

.CASUAL EINSTEIN .
2 for 1: Wow your kid and outsmart the other parents
Fun Fact: You can’t burp in space. Without gravity, gas doesn’t separate from liquid in your stomach – so what would be a burp on Earth becomes… well, a full-body regret. 🚀🥴
London Fact: There are over 20 streets in London with the name ‘Love’ in them. Including Love Lane, Lovers Walk and Lovelace Gardens. Our city is full of romance – if you know where to look. ❤️
